NEW DIRECTIONS SUPPORTERS

New Directions for Veterans appreciates the many friends and supporters who give their time and talents to help us with our mission. From volunteering to help with a special event or project to serving on our Board of Directors, each generous individual has unique talents and differing levels of time to commit.

Resource Development Committee

Role and Responsibilities

Resource Development Committee Members are volunteering their time to secure resources that enhance quality of life for veterans in our care. On an annual basis, Resource Development Committee Members are pledging their support to:

Either virtually or in-person, participate in at least 75 percent (e.g. 6 of 8) of Resource Development Committee Meetings held at 4:00 p.m. (e.g. Thursday, January 23, 2025; Thursday, February 20, 2025; Thursday, March 20, 2025; Thursday, April 17, 2025; Thursday, May 22, 2025; Thursday, August 21, 2025; Thursday, September 18, 2025; Thursday, October 23, 2025.)
Collaborate with the NDVets Advancement Staff and Resource Development Committee to either Give or Get a charitable sponsorship in the amount of $5,000.
Introduce NDVets to three stakeholders in your network that have the capacity to make significant contributions (e.g. $25K or more.)
Secure a Silent Auction or Live Auction Item in support of Signature Fundraising Events (e.g. Spring “TBD” and Fall’s Honoring Our Heroes Gala.)
Distribute NDVets Digital Communications and Print Communications to stakeholders in your network.
Identify entertainers (e.g. magicians, illusionists, musical acts, etc.) from your network that can support Signature Fundraising Events as contracted partners.
Serve as Volunteer Ambassadors during Signature Fundraising Events.

NDVets Annual Gala Dinner

For this event, we need focused and friendly volunteers to help with event registration and ushering.

Day of Service

Arrange a day when caring employees from your company or organization can come out to one of our many NDVets facilities and complete a volunteer project that includes jobs such as gardening, painting, cleaning, and assembling care packages.

Host an Online or In-Person Fundraiser or Collection Drive

Add an opportunity for giving to your next company party or event by collecting donations for NDVets! Most donations are tax-deductible.
